The Library ***NOTE-Not written by me, but it is a true life expereince! Wow!!!*** I sat there, sitting directly across from him, trying to be natural while staring shamelessly. Picture the Greek Adonis with thin wire glasses, looking over a book, and you'll understand why Austin's presence hushed me. He was the ultimate distraction, being all white and rose and gold. We studied together, popping questions back and forth between us, and I continued to steal secret gazes at his beauty. Then it happened. He shifted in his seat as tears moistened his eyes, and his nose began to twitch involuntarily. I looked up at him, marveling at his parted lips and shallow breath as he turned away from me and grabbed his handkerchief in one hand. "Ah-hachoo! hachoo!" He sneezed twice into the cloth, each sneeze jerking his lean torso forward. They were lovely, dry, sandy sneezes that made me squirmish inside. Anticipating more, he held his handkerchief to his face for a few seconds before putting it away. I seized the moment; one of the best parts about watching someone sneeze is saying, "Bless you."; He smiled without showing his teeth as he whispered, "Thanks." A few seconds later I felt a tickle. Inwardly, I groaned. Not now! I've always been afraid of those messy, awkward sneezes in public. I sniffed gently and twitched my nose, but it only seemed to aggravate the situation. My handsome companion stared down pensively at his book, not noticing my struggles. Finally I reasoned that I should let it out as soon as possible, while I still has some control over it. I gasped quietly and drew one shuddering breath. Austin's brown eyes snapped up from his book. With my hands cupped over my nose, I sneezed a perfect, quaint sneeze. I was glad to have avoided a mess and procured a tissue. His forehead was written over by concern as he inquired, "Are you all right? You look kind of pale." At that, my heart soared through the ceiling. He cares! He actually cares! I opened my mouth to answer when another sneeze caught me by surprise. "Ahkshoo!" I sneezed into the tissue. It was still quaint but slightly more forceful than the last one, causing me to jerk forward at the waist. The second sneeze, of course, tore the poor guy to pieces. "I hope I haven't given you my cold," he said guiltily. "No," I replied, "I'm okay. Don't worry about me." As my heart fluttered back down from its playground in the sky, I realized I loved him more than I had thought. My lips curved in a satisfied smile as his perfectly straight nose began to twitch again.
