MAJOR ARCANA
The Poetic Allergies
{Prepare to laugh-don't take this poem too seriously!}
It happens every spring
When weather is nice
The flowers do bloom
All nature's device
But what's good for the spring
Just murders my nose
For I do get this feeling
That just grows and grows
It starts with a tickle
Felt way down deep
But out of my nose
The sneezing does seep
"Ah-Ahh-AH-SHOO!"
I do give greatly
Into my hanky or tissue
Most every day
The pollen, it comes
And invades my senses
From the world to my house
Right over the fences
When the grass needs a cut
Most people are mowing
But I stay inside
And continue my blowing
I give sneezes so loud
They frighten my cat
I sniffle and sneeze
Wherever I'm at
They're great big sneezes
So full and so strong
They fill my poor nostrils
And do it for long
They crunch up my nose
"Ah-Ah-AH-SHOO!"
And make my chest heave
Until they are through
They come in large fits
No one-time-sneezing for me
And I can get no rest
No way to break free
When I try to go out
"AhshooAhshoo-SHOO!"
Much wheezing and sneezing
That ragweed makes me do
I like looking at plants
Could consider it nice
But all of my sneezing
Just makes me think twice
The pollen comes in
Invades my insides
I loose all my breath
And look for places to hide
The tickles always come
The same time every year
My nose starts its sneezing
My eyes start to tear
I live for the time
Of the first frost
When the pollen count is down
Whatever the cost
* * * * *
Who needs to go outdoors anyway?
Hold on... I feel it coming...
ahh.. ahhh... ahhhh...
Never mind. It stoppaaaaahhhh...
AH-SHOO!
THE TAROT OF SNEEZING
