The Presentation by LRG When she walked into the room, no one could help but to gaze upon her. She was stunningly beautiful, and although not conceited, she knew it. She was a delicate looking woman, with a thin, petite build, a fair complexion, and the deepest blue eyes that you have ever seen. She strolled across the room with confidence, but all that was about to change. Today was her big day. Today was the day that she had been preparing for, today was the day that she was to show what she was made of, and she had taken painstaking measures to ensure that nothing could go wrong, or so she thought. The presentation was for a group of high powered executives, and she knew that if ever there was a day to be on, I mean really on, this was it. There was a chill in the air as she sauntered over to her seat. A ray of sun coming through the window danced off her as if she were an angel, and you could see the specks of dust in the light move aside as she passed by. This was the beginning of what would be a very challenging day, for she was highly sensitive to dust, and she already felt the tickle starting to build in her nose. The room fell silent and a feeling of anticipation filled the room as the presentation was to begin in about 10 minutes. It was quiet, too quiet, as she realized that it would be difficult, if not impossible to quell the urge to sneeze as the sensation grew stronger and stronger with each second that passed by. She wanted so desperately to leave the room, but she couldn't for once the doors were closed, no one could enter or leave until the presentation was over. The atmosphere was not as she had planned it, for she was nervous and feeling weak, and a cool chill ran up and down her spine as the air conditioning seemed to blow directly on her giving her goosebumps all over her frail body, and churning up more and more dust into the air around her. Just then, she felt the sneeze building stronger and stronger as she tried with all of her being to control it. Finally there came a point when she realized she couldn't hold it back any more. Her eyes began to tear, her nostrils flaring as the tingle in her nose had become fierce. She looked for a tissue, but to no avail as the sneeze took hold of her, her head tilted back, her face scrunched up and her hands cupped as she tried as hard as she could to muffle to sound. Her breath quickened and very quietly the sneeze built up, then ah ah ah chhhhhhhh. It was soft and feminine with a slight high pitched build up fading to a whispered release as a shiver came over her. The man next to her leaned over, and in a soft whisper said "bless you" She looked at him and said, "thank you, I think it's the du du du du duchhooooooooo, dust, oh, excuse me" They both smiled at each other as he handed her a tissue, but she knew full well, that one tissue wouldn't be nearly enough for what was about to come. So far, her 2 sneezes were quiet and almost undetectable, but just then, as if out of no where, one sneaked up on her. She had no time to prepare, and out it came. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssshhhhhhhooooooooo ooooooooooo. It was long and drawn out, and it was beautiful. The man beside her said "wow, that was a real doozie wasn't it?" Although she thought she could sense excitement in his eyes, she had an awful feeling that the whole room was staring at her, and then it started……… She felt it building, growing stronger and stronger , and she knew full well that this was not just going to be one or two delicate sneezes. She put her finger up to her nose to try to stop it, but the long build up had already begun. Eh eh ah ah AH AHHHHHHHHH AHH Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiichoooooooo, ashooooo, eh etchoooo, choo, choo, choo, ah ah AHCHOOOO, aaaaaaaaaa iiiiiiiiiiiiiiittccchhhhhhooooooooo. Sniff, sniff, kchooooooo, chhhhhhhh, mm choooooooooo, Her nose felt as if it was on fire, she just couldn't stop, one right after another, she let out 7 quick sneezes followed by another huge and drawn out sneeze. Tchoo, choo, choo, huchoo, shoo, ashoo. Achoo, aah ahhh ahhhhhhhh eeeiiishhooooo !!! There she was, nose running, feeling weak from the sneezing fit, and that's when her name was called. She thought that although there was still a tickle in her noe, that at least now she could control it. She quietly and descreetly blew her nose, and began to walk to the front of the room, ha ha hiitchoooooo, oh, excuse me she said softly as she took her place in front of the group. Now she was in control. The tickle was fierce in her nose, but she knew she could make it through the presentation without another attack. She introduced herself, and then went on with her presentation…"Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day that tough decisions must be made, today is the day that the future of this company will take a stronghold" She had the audience totally captivated, then she went on….." I have a few projections that you will no doubt be impressed to see, with that she reached into her folder and placed a transparency on the overhead projector…… There she was, all hyped up and ready to perform, she switched on the overhead, and the light hit her eyes, then…. Today we mu mu mu aaaaasschooooo, achooooo, oh excuse me, today we must shape our ah ah hitchoooo ehhhhchooooooo, ahhhchoooooooo, eh eh eh ehhhhhhhhishoooooo, oh my it must be the the the aaachoooooooooooo, eh eh hitchooooo ehhhhhishooooo She stood there helpless, sneezing to the right, sneezing to the left, she could barely control her motions, this was the worst sneezing fit she had ever had tchoooooo, ehhhhichoooooo ah ahhhaaaaa ehhhhhchoooooooo sniff I'm sor so so sooooochooooooo achooooooo sorry, I ca can cachooooo achoooooo can't stop snnnn snn snnnnchoooooo achhoooooooooooooo tchoooo chooooo choooooeeee aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhishoooooooooooo, sneezing, I can't ta ta tachoooooo, take this any choooooo aaaaeeechooooooooo, anymore, She ran out of the room, still sneezing as she left… iiiishoooo eh eh ehttchoooooooooo aaaaachoooooooo, as the doors closed behind her. After a short while, the meeting broke up and there she was outside on the front steps, her eyes filled with tears at the disaster that took place. Her boss signalled to her that she was through, and that of course devastated her, I'm so achooooo achooooo, sorry she said. Her head down and tears streaming, and nose running, she was about to stand up to leave when a gentleman walked up to her and said, "Miss, that took guts, will you come and work for me at my firm?" He handed her a business card which read "Claritan Allergy Relief, marketing division. Her eyes opened wide, a smile came across her face, and she said, wow, thank you aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhieshooooooooooo, achooooooo, excuse me, thank you, they both laughed as he walked away saying, see you on Monday Hope you liked it LRG
